Nimes, FR - Gaudesaboos sisters go 1-2
There was further success for the CadoMotus teams outside the Netherlands this past weekend. Belgian twin sister combination Jessica and Sabrina Gaudesaboos took a 1-2 finish in the second stage of the French Inline Cup, held in Nimes. Sabrina won, with sister Jessica finishing a supportive second. With her second place points, Jessica now takes control in the general classification of the French Inline Cup - a competition she was close to winning overall at the end of 2007. The sisters had things largely their own way in Nimes, with FIC Stage 1 winner and world-reknowned veteran marathoner Nathalie Barbotin notably absent.
In the mens event the victory went to Matthieu Boher. Vincent
Esnault (new member of the Levallois Sporting Club, and former teammate and mentor to Boher in his time with Rollerblade France) finished fourth. Esnault's long career - where he has specialized with success in the over-distance events and ultra-marathons, has seen him joing the Levallois Racing Team (sponsored by CadoMotus) in the past year. The team at Levallois, based in Paris, is lead by journeyman Phillipe Boulard - the veteran former French World Team member heads a team of hardened skaters who travel Europe in search of the toughest ultra-marathon events.
