CadoMotus, responsible business practices
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
"We know that unless we're running the company responsibly, and securing our own long-term future, our vision for Pure Skating will be nothing more than an unrealized dream" – Michael Byrne
To distribute such a wide range of products to service skating sports Worldwide, the internet and e-commerce have a key role: “This is where we started; e-commerce was our first major investment as a company. Worldwide sales require fast and efficient order processing. We didn’t start with the research and development of products, we started with the best streamlined e-commerce solution”, says founder Diederik Hol.
The key factors that have stimulated CadoMotus' sales are ease-of-access and ordering for resellers and skaters alike, and the year-round availability of our product.
Streamlined processing not only enables fast distribution, it is also a time- and money-saving instrument. The goal of 'making financial sense' has been with the company from the start, and e-commerce has a significant role to play, providing daily stock updated and turnover overviews. “We have access to our sales figures, trends and financial statements every moment of the day. For me, that’s the basis of every important decision we have to make.”

Constant financial checks and balances also mean that marketing expenses are directly related to the sales opportunities in the skating sports. The long-term strategy for the company ensures stable growth, in parallel with the stable growth of our market.
CadoMotus remain cautious of artificially stimulating growth by spending too much money, or by swinging athletes and paying irresponsible salaries. “It’s not football, and it’s not a big market. Our partnership arrangements with teams and athletes is more about giving them sporting opportunities and enabling them to race on the best, most skater-specific products. In signing World Junior Champion Bart Swings (BEL) and letting him race the Dutch competitions for example, we support the development of a young and talented skater, we market our products, and we stimulate a rise in the quality of skating at the same time.”
"Responsible practices in all our business operations and regular reference to a sound long-term strategy; that's the foundation we've built and the one on which we can turn our vision for a Pure Skating Company into a reality." – Diederik Hol
