New ice products showcased

It has been a goal for CadoMotus since its inception to have a year-round catalogue that equips all speed skating sports... and as winter 2009/10 gets underway that goal is another step closer to reality.

German Jörg 'Hugo' Dallmann & his Record blades

The 'ice project' is a collaboration between CadoMotus Skating, Marchese Racing and Kees Douma. Paul Marchese is the #1 boot maker in ice skating with 58 Olympic medals won on his hand-crafted skates to date. Paul's knowledge and experience are unparalleled and the Marchese ONE ST boot is the first result of Paul's work with CadoMotus.

Now in addition to the ONE ST (introduced last winter), CadoMotus introduces a high-performance shorttrack blade, the Marchese ZERO, optimizing performance with the latest runner, tube, cup and adhesive technologies.

The latest developments surround the Marchese RECORD longtrack blades. CadoMotus & Marchese, together with design engineer Kees Douma, have been working hard developing blades for the coming Olympic season. Together with the ONE ST boot and ZERO ST blade, the Marchese RECORD blade is the result of more than 2 years research & development by the Marchese Racing project.

A lot of testing is taking place right now, with athletes around the World including the German Speedskating team. The goal is to get the blades to skaters for the Vancouver Games, although the countdown to competition at Richmond Oval is well underway with Olympic trials starting already. The Records are only available in very limited quantities and not in shops yet.
